Ciudad SWCDS's Watershed Erosion and GSI Cost Share Program offers finanical assistance to residents within our distirct to address erosion issues on their properties and implement nature based solutions such as the use of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI). Our program covers 80% of the project cost up to $5,000.

Funding is available and applications are accepted year round. Projects can be implemented any time of year. 

Applications are recieved and funded on a first come first served basis. We will contact you within six weeks of recieving your application. This is our first time coordinating this program and we appreciate your patience as we develop the program.

Who can apply?

To participate in our program your property should be located within Ciudad SWCD. Individuals, schools, non-profits, and neighnborhood associations are all eligible. 

Who cannot apply?

Government agencies and for profit businesses are not eligible for the cost share program. 

Applicable Projects

• Erosion control projects including installation of erosion control features such as berms, swales, check dams as well as stormwater culvert repairs or bridge repairs. 
• GSI projects including installation of rainwater harvesting basins, swales, or rain gardens with climate ready species or curb cuts.
